Power Quality
Reliable operation of modern plants and systems always demands a high degree of supply reliability and good power quality. UMG measuring devices reliably record, analyse and document all interferences such as harmonics, unbalance, transients, voltage dips, voltage swells, flickers, phase shifts and reactive power.
Colour Graphic Display
The high resolution graphic display stands for self-explanatory and intuitive operation. Measured values can be illustrated in numeric form, as a bar graph or a line graph. Complex processes such as power quality events or current and voltage can therefore be visualised clearly in waveform.
Ethernet Connection
An Ethernet connection can be used to make integration into an IT network particularly simple and comprehensive. UMG measuring devices with an Ethernet connection run various IP protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SNMP, DHCP, TFTP, SMTP, BACnet (optional), etc.
Ethernet Modbus Gateway
The Ethernet Modbus gateway can be used to easily include the Modbus RTU devices that are connected to the master device as slaves in an Ethernet architecture. This is also possible via a Modbus RTU interface for devices with identical file formats and matching function codes.
The user can use the graphical programming language Jasic® to add their own functions to a UMG measuring device. Up to seven freely configurable user programs can run in parallel, e.g. monitoring processes or notifications when reaching defined threshold values. In addition to the graphical programming option, the user is also free to program the source code directly in JASIC.
Alarm Management
The alarm management feature in GridVis® monitors all measurement parameters captured by the UMG measuring devices. It comprises escalation management, a logbook function and user management for individual notifications by e-mail, dialogue box on the monitor, etc.In addition to monitoring effective values, short term interruptions and transients, as well as communication with the measuring devices can also be monitored.
